Greenline 33 - hybrid boat in the 10 m class

The three Jacopins, Japec, his brother Jerney and his son Tilen, have developed a hybrid boat in the 10 m class, the Greenline 33‘. It is fitted with a 75 hp VW diesel engine that can reach a top speed of 13.8 kn as well as with an electric motor that can manage 5.9 kn. When the electric motor is used on its own, you can sail in silence, but for the lapping of the waves against the hull, for eight hours.

Evaluation and serial production
At low speed you can even sail indefinitely using the electric motor, as the special batteries are constantly recharged by photovoltaic cells on the cabin roof. Apart from this, it has a contemporary concept, with the saloon and the foreship cabin arranged to make two people feel comfortable on board with the possibility of accommodating occasional guests in the saloon. The large window behind the pantry block opens wide, allowing steam from cooking to escape into the open air. So far, the shipyard has launched just eight on the European market. After boot 2010 kit plans to evaluate to what extent it can incorporate the wishes of the boat traders and customers in serial production of the boat in future.
