The Teams
The Archipelago Raid is an international event. Competitors from New Zealand, USA, UK, France, Switzerland, Australia, Nederland and Nordic countries have already taken part in the event. Olympic gold medallists, solo-sailors, multihull or dinghy sailors, match racers, offshore racers… The competitors of the Archipelago Raid have a great variety of sailing backgrounds. The success of the first editions spreads the rumour in the sailing world that this event has something different. Difficulties, endurance, adrenaline, speed, strategy, crazy navigation, organisation, planning: the race requires a wide range of skills. The sailors involved in the Raid are tired, wet and cold, and action, tension and suspense will last until the finishing line.
