Mochi 54 - in style of US lobster boat

44', 64' and 74' – now, Mochi of Italy has completed the series with a 54' craft (16m, German premiere) that – as might be expected – again emulates the style of a US lobster boat of yesteryear. It comes with a truly “deep V” hull as was common in those days of yore because the boats had to plough through the rough seas of the north Atlantic off the coast of New England to get at their catch.

Plenty of wood inside, large glazed areas and available in some unusual colours, a Mochi can always be recognised by such distinguishing features. There are three cabins in the forward section providing six berths. And generating a speedy 32 kn (59 km/h) are two common rail turbodiesels from MAN each developing 800 HPmetric. As an extra, the 54-footer also comes with a top-mounted flybridge and the ARG stabilising system manufactured by the Ferretti group for reduced motion at anchor.
