Fairline Targa 44 Gran Turismo - airy and noble

The manual that comes with the new Fairline Targa 44' Gran Turismo (13.68m, celebrating its German premiere) is bound in leather. It’s an idea that designer Olivier Winbo brought with him from his time with that well-known refiner of Mercedes technology, McLaren. Thanks to its large sliding hatches over the control position, the Targa 44' sports cruiser from the UK could almost be classed as an open yacht – especially given the airy cockpit toward the aft. Below deck it has two cabins for owners and their guests, and the dinette table can also be lowered to create a bed for a fifth overnight sleeper. The drive takes the form of two 6-cylinder Volvo Penta IPS diesel units capable of accelerating the boat to 34- 35 kn (62 to 64 km/h).
