Grand Sturdy 40.9 Sedan/AC - comfortable accommodation

A third model has been added to the popular "9" series, the 12.85 x 4.30 m variant known as the Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.9. Just like its little sisters, the 29.9 and the 39.9, the 40.9 will be available as an AC version with an aft cabin and a sedan version with an open cockpit. The easily recognisable, slim profile of the Linssen "9" series has been seamlessly continued by designer Anne Elsinga in the new designs.
German premiere
At boot 2008 Linssen shows the new developments for the first time on a German Boat Show. With the "9" series, Linssen Yachts has added a new dimension to traditional Dutch steel yacht building. In any case, the Linssen brothers have demonstrated that when all the available knowledge and energy are combined, mass-production yacht building in the 9-15 metre segment is also perfectly possible in the Netherlands. The sales results of the smaller models are impressive and their new big sister already seems to be set to achieve the same.

Interior design
This hull has allowed the interior designer to create a fantastic layout. The forward section is a large compartment containing a double bed which people can climb in and out of comfortably on both sides. Portholes and deck hatches provide plenty of light and air. The toilet has its own entrance from the forward cabin. A second door in the toilet provides access to the central entrance area of the forward cabin, the centre cabin and the completely separate shower room. Because of its location, the toilet is well positioned to serve as a day toilet for everyone on board. Designed to hold two single beds, the centre cabin is generously proportioned and has lots of useful cupboard and storage space. The shower room is fitted with a cabinet of sufficient size for a washing machine to be installed inside it.

Passage between cockpit and Saloon
A practical advantage of the Sedan version is that the passage connecting the saloon to the cockpit is on one level, with only a low threshold. The corner seat is on the port side of the cockpit, next to the outdoor dinette, while on the starboard side the children have free access to the swimming platform via the stern door.
