That’s how the Frauscher yard describes its latest offspring.

The 9.03m Benaco 909 penned by designer Georg Nissen for this Austrian yard is a cabin cruiser that combines the prestigious all-wood look of a retro-style yacht with the very latest technology. There are various motorisation options on offer. If equipped with two engines rated at 320 HPmetric each, this 3.2t daycruiser can reach speeds of up to 40 kn (74 km/h) or, with an electric motor, it will sail along at a gentle 10 km/h. Given the yard’s many years’ experience, the emphasis is very much on class rather than mass production, and its yachts are totally in keeping with that philosophy.
