Najad 505 - aesthetic design
Nominated "European Yacht of the Year 2009"!
This new yacht has been created out of Najad's core principals for quality, performance, safety and good sea- keeping ability. Apart from the centre cockpit layout, there's almost nothing 'traditional' about the entire yacht. In fact, range designers Judel, Vrolijk & co have made a statement out of every feature.
Designed for cruising couples
The narrow waterline entry, fairly plumb bow and U-shaped sections aft are a good indicator of the kind of performance you can expect, yet this yacht is primarily designed for cruising couples and offered with a choice of different interior options, centred around the need to accommodate children or occasional guests, as required. Underneath the hull a 2.4 m delta bulb keel will be offered as standard. The new N-505 is equipped with a balanced spade rudder, with no skeg, offering a light feeling to the helm, quicker tacking ability and easier close quarters manoeuvrability.

Long, low and smooth look
Of immediate impact is the low profile coach roof and flush fitting, elongated port lights on each side. Seen together these two aspects accentuate the long, low and smooth look of the overall design. Similarly, the flush fitting skylights and clean looking deck design are intended to promote a feeling of efficiency and calmness on-board. Rope ‘clutter’ will be kept to a minimum as lines are led aft from the bottom of the mast and concealed under the coach roof, where they re-emerge into the cockpit, close to four stoppers and three Andersen ribbed full stainless steel winches on each side.
Modern looking helm station
The spacious and sociable cockpit area houses a large central table and modern looking helm station, leather covered wheel and engine control. Protection is provided by the now familiar wrap around screen, edged in aluminium and a handsome looking design feature in its own right.

For extended cruising
The new Najad 505 has a fully equipped galley with extremely attractive counter tops, plenty of food stowage space and a twin stainless steel sink with single lever luxury tap. A galley that will accommodate most owners requirements for extended cruising.
The full width owner’s cabin aft has a large bed, its own washroom and plenty of storage and can be specified with either a settee or desk option on the port side. In the bow section the option allows for a further large double guest cabin with separate washroom or a twin bunk bed arrangement, sharing a single washroom.
