Contest 60CS - easy sailing for two to eight people
This impressive 60-footer offers easy sailing for two people, but can also comfortably host a crew of eight. The elegant lines of the Contest 60CS are characterised by a spacious open deck and a well integrated superstructure. Equipped with a twin wheel working cockpit and a large 'social' cockpit, you'll be impressed by the sailing and living comfort onboard this yacht.
Various interior options
In cooperation with Birgit Schnaase, the yard developed a selection of interior designs that allow owners to choose a style that suits them best. This makes the 60CS suitable for both family sailing and for an owner with a professional crew. The modern, light and stylish atmosphere for which all Contests are famed is again repeated in the 60CS. A remarkable feature is the panes of the saloon windows. The windows were made of curved and chemically hardened Ultra Resistant Glass (URG) with two PVB films and one solar layer in between. This results in an exceptional degree of scratch resistance and 99.8 percent UV protection.
With the development of the 60Cs we wanted to create a high performance cruising yacht that would maintain high speeds on passage but offer great levels of comfort. The yacht has high stability, far in excess of Ocean A" standard. With a fine bow and soft motion the Contest 60CS is an excellent sea boat. The modern rig is also performance orientated but easily handled by a small crew with the sailplan weighted towards the mainsail. It and the just over 110% genoa are easily handled from the cockpit. Taken together all these factors define fast comfortable sailing. - Georg Nissen, exterior designer.
