Xc 38 - perfect blend of cruising comfort and performance

The Xc 38, like the larger Xc models features an aft cockpit design with eye catching classically styled bow and stern lines that maximise deck space. The hull lines are deeper than on the Xperformance models and have a V-section forward of the keel, for a comfortable motion and easy passage making. The larger hull volume over traditional X-Yachts designs allows space for more powerful engines, larger tanks and greater battery capacity, enabling the Xc 38 to make extended cruising in comfort a reality.

Response and thrill of sailing
Despite blue water cruising credentials the Xc 38 will still provide the response and thrill of sailing that X-Yachts sailors admire. Her greater displacement demands a large sail area and her shallower draft requires a heavier keel bulb; in order to deliver a yacht that is ‘stiff’ but also forgiving, and easily manoeuvred by a couple. The only compromise over the Xperformance designs being her sailing ability in very light airs.

Safety in heavy seas
The positively raked transom makes it different from most other cruising or racing yachts, and gives the Xc yachts a classic look. This style allows a spacious aft deck by connecting the side decks, which is very practical for cruising and ensures safety in heavy seas.
The transom also accommodates an optional 6-person liferaft, easily launched from a compartment under the floor. Also integrated into the platform is a bathing ladder and a shower unit.
