Grand Soleil 39 - new model with twin wheel steering

The Grand Soleil 39 is extraordinarily sleek and elegant. She features flush decks and hatches along with recessed roller furling for the non-overlapping headsail. She has an open transom, a large, ergonomic cockpit and twin wheel steering: a ‘first’ for a Grand Soleil of this size. This is a design feature which has proven practical and popular with both cruising and racing sailors alike on the GS43 and GS46.
Increased performance and durability
Below decks the GS39 offers the same interior volume as the GS40: eight berths in three cabins and the saloon, a classic ‘L’ shaped galley and an option for a second heads. Advanced construction techniques have been employed to ensure that the GS39 is seaworthy, fast and manageable and the boat is built using a carbon fibre grid pan structure like the new Grand Soleil 50. This construction technique saves weight in the build but increases the stiffness and therefore the performance and durability of the boat.

Great handling even with a small crew
The GS39 has a highly efficient hulls shape designed to ensure minimum wetted surface under sail and she has a T-shaped keel to drive upwind speed. The high ballast ration means that the Grand Soleil 39 can easily support her powerful sail plan whilst remaining well mannered and manageable even with just a small crew.
