Snake River Boat Builders - looking for European distributors

The jet boat industry is part of the multi-faceted economy of the Lewis-Clark Valley, a region known for abundant outdoor activities. It is their vision and team spirit that created one of the most dynamic and successful cluster development programs in the country, the Snake River Boat Builders Export Program.



The goal of the Snake River Boat Builders Export Program is to develop viable foreign markets for the welded-aluminum jet boat manufacturers and suppliers located in the greater Lewiston, Idaho/Clarkston, Washington region. This was initially accomplished by focusing on the European Union, primarily Germany. The program partnered with the U.S. Commercial Service offices in Spokane, Washington and Frankfurt, Germany as well as Skipper Boote Und Yachting magazine, Miesbach, Germany to promote the industry and recruit European boat buyers for a trade mission to Lewiston/Clarkston in October, 2010 where they participated in factory and river tours. Prior to the trade mission, the program's participants became "export experts" and developed their "export team" through a series of intensive classes presented by leading professionals from around the world.
