Hangman's knot

The hangman's knot can be used for connecting a rope with a shackle or snap ring. It is made with eight or nine turns. The advantage: the loop is tied up steadily.

The running end is approximately 30 centimeters long.

An overhand knot wrappes the standing part.

The bitter end is turned through the same loop (6-9 times).
