In autumn 2008 the fleet will leave the UK. After a 29,000-mile journey, the whole fleet should arrive back in the UK in spring/summer 2009. The race route has not been finalised and the details below are from the Global Challenge 2004/05, and thus are subject to change.

Leg Start Dates
3 Oct 2004: Portsmouth to Buenos Aires
28 Nov 2004: Buenos Aires to Wellington
6 Feb 2005: Wellington to Sydney
27 Feb 2005: Sydney to Cape Town
1 May 2005: Cape Town to Boston
19 June 2005: Boston Northern Europe
13 July 2003: La Rochelle to Portsmouth
17 July 2003: Finish Date
