About us

Harman Yachts is a daughter company of Alim Kimya Group, internationally known by the production of speciality chemicals in the field of water treatment.

As a predecessor of Harman Yachts, Efes Yachting Ltd. started in 2004 to build the 56‘ Pilot Cutter “Tamarisk“ with the design and the support of the worldwide known Dutch designer Gerard Dykstra. During the two years building time with the education of Dutch specialists the know-how of difficult welding technics of aluminium has been acquired.

This rare know how in Turkey lead to number of new contracts for building aluminium hulls and superstructures of bigger sail and motor yachts such as “Nazenin V” the new 52 m Sparkman & Stephens megayacht for the famous turkish investor Rahmi Koc.

This exclusive concentration on aluminium welding jobs lead in 2008 to the consensual splitting of Efes yachting into two companies: “Talay Denizcilik” for building aluminium and steel hulls and “Harman Yachts” aiming the original goal of building complete challenging yachts.

Today Harman Yachts is managed by the second generation of Alim Kimya family and is located in the new modern space at the Marinturk Marina in Pendik/Istanbul.
