Aerius Quattro I SL 490

Why a Quattro?
The Quattro represents the highest level of development in the Aerius series. Construction and equipment are designed for extreme paddling. The Aerius Quattro meets the highest demands for performance and safety and is therefore the right kayak for exploring white spots on your personal atlas. Standard equipment: The basic equipment corresponds to that of the Aerius Expedition.
However, as a unique design feature, the Aerius Quattro has two additional air tubes, which help the boat to achieve even higher load capacity and buoyancy. This gives it the highest level of safety. The hull shape of the Aerius Quattro can be continuously changed from a V- to a U-shape by variable inflation of the four air hoses. This reduces the draft.

The Aerius 490 Quattro is the ultimate single seater. Enormous space and legroom for paddlers of all sizes and weights. Convinces with its high payload and straight outflow. Ideally suited for all waters, including the open sea. Very good for sailing, we recommend the S1.

About us

Company portrait

In 1907, the Rosenheim master tailor Johann Klepper acquired the licence from Alfred Heurich, the originator of the modern folding boat idea, for the sole production of the Delphin boat type. He thus realized his dream: to produce a boat to take along. His idea developed into a company that manufactured folding boats of the highest quality for sale in all countries of the world.
In 1929 Hans Klepper took over the company from his father. At that time the company produced up to 90 boats and 1000 raincoats a day.
At the beginning of the Third Reich, the Klepper-Werke still advertised with the slogan "Ride happily into the wide world, with Klepper coat, boat and tent".
However, further developments in Germany did not stop at the Rosenheim company, and folding boat production came to an end at the beginning of the war in 1939. Members of the Wehrmacht and the Reichsbahn wore Klepper coats.
In 1973 the company was divided into Klepper Bootsbau KG and Klepper Bekleidungsfabrik KG, now Klepper Sportswear.
In 1978 the Klepper-Werke stopped the production of folding boats and it seemed as if this was the end of the until then more than seventy years old history Walther died and his son living in the USA sold the works to Dr. Henning Isbruch.
On October 14, 1995, the production facilities in Klepperstrasse burned to the ground.
The merger of the previous company, Klepper Faltbootwerft H.S. Walther GmbH, with Klepper Faltbootwerft AG took place on 01.07.2000.
Takeover of the main assets of Klepper Faltbootwerft AG by Klepper Lifestyle GmbH.
